New Affiliates! New Poll! New Life Needed!

Alright, a lot of new news lately.
First off, we have a new major affiliate. GameSites200.com and StarGhost.com are now mutually linked, boosting this site's ratings currently to #3 on Google searches for "StarCraft Ghost", soon expected to move to #2.
Secondly, our poll has been down for quite some time. Due to this problem, I've set up a new account on a different, more reliable, and better website for our polls from now on. I'll eventually have multiple polls set up, with a random one loading each time you reload the page. Those will be updated either weekly or bi-weekly.
Since I was unable to get the stats from our last poll before our old poll bit the dust, I've posted the same question again, and welcome all to vote on it. I will have it changed by Monday as usual. If you do come here and find it hasn't changed by Monday night, check back Tuesday, it's typically done by then. Today being one of those unfortunate exceptions.
Blizzard released yet another concept art picture of a Zerg Lurker which looks pretty ill. They did not supply a thumbnail of the image, so I made a custom one in Photoshop. Nothing special, but you can check it out on the Concept Art page.
Lastly, StarGhost.com is picking up in hits now. Many more per day than the original 7-14 hits per day I was getting when I first took over this site. We are looking for active writers as my current ones seem to have flushed themselves down some cyber toilet. If you are interested in writing for us, you don't need to have published a book or anything. We're looking for people age 17 and up with some writing experience, and a passion for StarCraft. New Editorial!

Got that editorial up as promised. A little belated so sue me. Tired as usual, very tired. Girlfriend will be angry if she discovers this is where my life goes. Not as much as I had hoped on the editorial... I realized that the second thing I wanted to post had to do with StarCraft 2, not SC: G :(
My other writers are dead, I plan on taking them down from the site soon. New positions open! :) First come first serve so long as you show you are a capable writer.
Lastly, I am leader of a StarCraft/BroodWar clan on USEast, Clan Demons of Shadows (nicknamed by senior members as Destroyers of Squirrels). Our channel is Clan DoS_. We are a low-mineral, melee gaming clan, however welcome players that enjoy UMS games as well. We hold tournaments once a month, with one coming up on January 25 at 9pm Eastern Standard time. All are welcome to visit and attend. If you submit registrations within the next day or so you may be entered into the tournament. Matchups have not been set as clan activity was not expected to resume so soon, however feel free to check out our website at http://scdos.cjb.net.

Uploaded latest poll results, sorry for the delay yesterday, I usually try to get a new poll posted every Monday now, and the results uploaded by Wednesday. StarGhost.com may be making it's final server move sometime during the next week, hopefully all will go smoothly.

I recently read some new news on SC: G which should prove interesting. I'll have that new editorial up by the end of the week.

Yes... it's true... even more images uploaded. I think Blizzard needs to just hold off all pics, then bombard their server with all the new ones to save us the tedious hassle. Heh.
Anyway, we have the new Artwork pics uploaded. Not a whole lot more that can be done.

It's been awhile... too long, and almost every website you go to has at least one of these posts... "Sorry I haven't updated for awhile guys... blah blah blah". Oh yeah?!?! Well... I'M NOT SORRY!!! Ahahahahaha!
Ok, time to lay off the crack. Anyway, we have a new Concept Art picture added to our gallery, which is now on page 3. Aside from that, the only other new news on StarGhost is I found some lint in the shape of a Zergling in my belly button. Mebbe you haven't read the part where you can submit news to us? :)

Finally managed to post that article I was promising. Other than that the newest screenshot (released on the 6th, I know I'm behind), was uploaded. Our forums, hosted by BattleForums.com has been picking up. If you haven't registered a name and been posting there, I recommend it. Most of the questions that may be racking your brain can be answered there, including whether it will be for the PC, what consoles it is scheduled to be released for, if there will be multiplayer support, and much more.
There has also been discussion for changing the layout of this site in the future. If you have any suggestions or problems you currently have with navigation, please let me know via e-mail. We try to keep this page IE/Netscape compatible, however we can't predict everyone's custom browser settings.

Server Switch Completed

Well, we successfully changed servers finally. For our current StarGhost members, we have a new login system. If you go to the 'Our Staff' page, you'll see you can now click on the boldface type of your name. For example, for me there is Alias: Cortalos; AIM: Cortalos; and E-Mail: Cortalos@StarGhost.com I would click on the bold Cortalos font that is next to 'Alias' to be prompted for my login information. Simply type your username (ie. cortalos, emomakesmecry, skuzzy, etc) and password to log in!
The old link that originally signed you in to your mail is now there so you can access your old StarGhost.com mail if you need to transfer anything over. Please do this immediately, as I'm not sure how long that server will continue to support our old accounts.
Other than that, no new news to report. I'm attempting to write another writeup on StarCraft Ghost, however time has been an issue lately. I'm shooting for this weekend however.

Two additional screenshots, a light table background, compressed sidebar groups, and a new poll have been added in addition to our new writers DJBlaze and EmoMakesMeCry.
StarGhost.com is making it's, I believe, 3rd server switch. SkuZZy has reassured me this will be the last sort of move for awhile... yeah right. =)
With this server switch, however, the possibility has arisen for us to host e-mail addresses. If you would like to have your own @StarGhost.com e-mail address, e-mail me and we'll see what we can set up for you!
Other than that, not really a whole lot to add. We've added an affiliate to our Affiliates page, and I may add some affiliate buttons on the sidebar. If you're interested in having your site linked to from StarGhost.com, e-mail me at coRtALoS@StarGhost.com with your name, and a link to your site, along with a brief explanation of what your site is, and will eventually become.

Added commenting script to the Headlines page. I'm going to get a seperate script to work for the main page as well so you can comment on the recent updates. I didn't sleep last night, so I'll keep this short before I fall asleep on the keyboard and you just see 500 'R's from my nose digging in the keyboard.
I'm working on getting some writers for StarGhost.com to write articles like the ones I've started, and recent news. I spend so much time updating and changing this site, I can't write as much as I'd like to. This will be the last time we publicly announce we will be accepting applications to write for StarGhost.com.

Over the next few days, I will be uploading another copy of StarGhost.com that is more compatable with Netscape 7.0+. I will post a link in this box once the conversion is complete, and eventually have an auto-detect set up so clicking on a link won't be necissary. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the site!

Major Changes

Graphical borders have been added around navigation, and main page sections. Additional graphics may be added later, however I'm trying to keep in mind, our good old 56k users. Navigational links have been moved/deleted to reduce redundancy, and the bottom two sections on the left part of the Navigation bar have been set to automatically be compressed. Click on either of the images to expand them.
I'd write more regarding everything done... I mean, I did skip school today to do all this, but I'm so sleepy I'm seeing double. Will try to post more in the afternoon/evening.

Minor Changes

The border has been completed (for the most part), around the website. I had to completely re-write the code that SkuZZy made before with some messed up web editor or something. I did a word count and there were about 58 open <table> tags, and 55 </table> tags. You can see on the right that little section that just won't close. I'm leaving it for now. According to the code, it should be closed, but ah well, I think spending 5 hours just revamping something that already exists just to get two vertical lines on either side of this page is an excuse to put that off till later. Unlike before, the code has been changed so that border is on every page now as well.
I'm planning on adding more graphics to the general layout of this site, so keep checking us out for the most recent updates and reports.
The Screenshot, and Art Gallery pages have been updated so each image now opens in a StarGhost.com template. It also allows for you to return to the main index via a link added at the top right.
I considered making it open in a newer window, but I remember the days when my computer would lag from opening Notepad. I'll consider changing it in the future, but for now it suits it's purpose.
Lastly, we are still looking for writers to write in-depth articles for StarGhost.com! If you are interested in exposing your writing creativity, we are still accepting applications which may be submitted here.

New Media Added!

If you haven't already seen, I've uploaded the new trailer released by Blizzard as of October 25. It's been up since it was first released, but due to some continuous editing to this site, I haven't been able to write another update until now.
As you can also see, a top and bottom borders have been added to the index page. The bottom isn't on the other pages yet, but that is being worked on.
Additional sites you can vote for us on have been added. You can see there are only 2 that have graphics. If I can't find a graphic to use for the other two links, I'll make one. It'll probably look a lot better than the one provided for me by gamesites200. If you have like 2 seconds to just click on each of those, it'll popup a new window to vote for us, so you can just close the window when you're done instead of using the Back button.
A help section has been added to our forums for people that are having trouble contacting us to setup any mutual linking.
I got around to linking to Blizzard and Nihilistic's official websites (Blizzard's homepage, not SC:G page). If you didn't know, Nihilistic is working on Starcraft: Ghost with Blizzard. They have a very graphically lush website I recommend checking out.
Finally the navigation bar on the left has been edited, and is now Expandable/Compressable. Just click 'Latest News' or 'Main Menu', and it should work (I'm not sure if it works for Netscape users however).

If you haven't noticed, I've got a lot of the pages up so far. Those that I don't have content for yet are just those blank ones you see. Others I still have yet to get to, however I'm trying to get all this prepared for our official launch date of October 15th.
Despite what SkuZZy might have told you, I just got the screenshots, art, and wallpaper pages up, which were all aquired from Blizzard's website. I'll be adding to all those sections as more images become available. The multimedia page will consist of .mpegs, and .avis I find. I will also accept any submissions if you see something not on here. This is a 100% free website, meaning no annoying pop-up ads, e-mail submission, or credit cards required. Because we aren't making any money off of this, we're hoping you, the most valuable asset any website could ever want, can help us in bringing information to you, up-to-date, and with the best coverage possible.
To clear up some confusion, the Press Releases page will include links to pages posted on Blizzard's websites, or of exclusive interviews. The Previews page will have links to other websites with information pertaining to Starcraft Ghost.
The only other thing to expect, is I will be writing a summary on how Starcraft Ghost looks from all the articles I have read on it, saving you your valuable time dealing with those !@#$ing popup ads and spam mail in your junkbox. =)

We have a winner for new Administrator of StarGhost.com! I'm still working on deciphering all of SkuZZy's code, but I'm getting more familiar with the structure of the site quickly. While I am getting all of the pages up and functioning, I would appreciate any new articles anyone finds, and e-mail them to me here. You will have your name posted on the website if you do manage to find something I haven't seen already.
As for testing the game, I currently have $600 saved to buy the best console available when the first copy of Starcraft Ghost hits the shelves. *Crosses Fingers* Playstation was always my favorite console from the start. They initiated the 64-bit consoles on CD-ROM, and have always had games with high replay value. The console isn't made by some globally monopolistic, multibillion dollar company, so that's always an added bonus. So I'm really hoping there'll be a PS2, or PS3 by then. |

Just a quick update. We added a couple more links to some previews from IGN and GameSpot. IGN has an exclusive interview with one of the key developers (you need to be a member) of SCGhost, so be sure to check that out. Both can be found in our previews section. I also added two new screenshots that I found... one of them is of Nova with a switch blade! Check them out in the screenshots gallery. And finally, I also put the blizzard press release on this site. So if you haven't read it yet, then check it out under press releases. That's all for now. I'll be adding some new wallpapers tommorow evening and i'll also be looking around to see if I can get some exclusive trailers or wav files. It's launch time! We here at StarGhost.com are extremely pleased to announce the official launch of our site! We've spent many hours over the past few days trying to get this site up and running and all the hard work has paid off. Over the next few days you may notice some links are broken, but rest assured we are working very hard to load this site with as much content and as many reviews as we can find! We will be updating the site fiercely throughout the next few weeks to try and keep up with all the current hype surrounding this game.
